Day One – May 17th

And we’re off! Finally!

We arrived at the boat yesterday afternoon. Bought a few vegetable and enjoyed some Steveston Pizza for dinner and then Jim drove back to the house to get the cat food I forgot to pack!

We took our time this morning. I don’t think we left the dock until well after 10 AM.

Without Jenny to walk it is a whole different routine! Jenny is 14 now and is not enjoying the boating experience any more and she finds the stairs on the boat difficult. She is staying behind with the daughter of a friend. Danielle is Jenny’s favourite person in the world! Danielle house sat and took care of both Jenny and Lilly when we were away in 2017

Jenny out for a walk today with Danielle. Photo from Danielle. Jenny loves a good creek!

Lilly happy to be back on the boat – not so much!

Lilly is travelling with us — we thought it would be easier for Danielle because she is such a pain in the neck at the house in the summer. She is always trying to jump off the deck and escape out the door.

Lilly does enjoy the boat when we are at anchor or at a dock but she is not so fond of the traveling.

Finally relaxing in the cockpit after a long day motoring up to Bargain Bay on the Sunshine Coast.

Bargain Bay with a lovely rainbow.

Tomorrow we will head off to Squirrel Cove on Cortes Island
