Pruth Bay

I seem to be falling behind a bit. I will try to catch up.

We spent two days in Pruth Bay. It was grey and cool and a bit drizzly off and on. And the skiff is not working at all !

We were anchored nice and close to shore that we could paddle in to the dock.

Row your boat

I was in the bow singing – My Paddle is Keen and bright – Flashing with silver. And enjoying the ride. Fortunately it was only 12 minutes to the dock.

We stayed two nights. We all went for a nice walk on West Beach.

Sharon and I went for a big long hike up to the Look Out the second day. It was a little grey and overcast but not raining.

A much easier trail than Codville Lagoon.

Halfway up
Almost at the top
The top

There are some small ponds at the top and it looks very much like a Japanese garden

There are waterlilies that grow in the ponds and the small plants around the pond are like little bonsai plants

You can see how close Phoenix Hunter is to the dock.

We saw two different planes come in for a landing to the Hakai Foundation dock while we were at anchor

  1. Pam, sorry to hear that the skiff is not working but the 12 minute paddling in Pruth Bay isn’t too bad. Are you planning to circumnavigate Vancouver Island this year, like you did last year? If so, is there any chance you can get the skiff fixed?
Sharon looks like she is enjoying paddling and hiking.
The scenery looks amazing and you look great, Pam. Too bad Jim cannot participate in hiking but he can do everything next summer after his hip surgery this autumn.
Looking forward to your next blogging.
